AHC/WI: earlier abolishment of serfdom in Russia. Has that even happened yet?

'AHC: Pacific Carthage'.
As in, a fearsome mercantile power in the Asia-Pacific that establishes a large and wealthy trade empire. Japan's the obvious candidate, but then, it never developed much of a commercial streak until the US came in and Westernized it after World War II, so...

Or did you have the Philippines in mind, perhaps? ;-)

Horatio Seymour wins the Democratic nomination in 1864 WI he'd done better than McClellan? How much better? If he wins 2.5% more, that'd give him his home state NY, plus Pennsylvania and Connecticut. Still less than 100 electors for him and more than 150 for Lincoln. Even a swing of 4% wouldn't suffice, although it'd be extremely close. - Would Lincoln decide that the votes from Louisiana and Tennessee count if he loses?

'AHC: Pacific Carthage'. As in, a fearsome mercantile power in the Asia-Pacific that establishes a large and wealthy trade empire. Japan's the obvious candidate, but then, it never developed much of a commercial streak until the US came in and Westernized it after World War II, so... Maybe some power from the area of Indonesia. Or did you have the Philippines in mind, perhaps? ;-) Good suggestions. Actually asked this question over on another site, and Indonesia (more specifically, the Majapahit Empire) was one option they suggested. As a wealthy and splendorous power in Southeast Asia, they would've been an ideal latter-day candidate, if not for their death spiral of divisions and succession crises breaking them up right before Muslim sultanates and European colonists arrived to exploit the rampant infighting. In which case, a 15th century in which they foster semi-cordial relations with the Europeans and don't fall prey to divide-and-conquer tactics should leave them far better positioned to become the big kahuna of Southeast Asia. Not to mention mostly butterflying Islam's primacy in the region, keeping Buddhism and Hinduism as Majapahit's main religions. The other — which was set against the backdrop of a larger TL outline where the POD kicks in earlier — alters the outcome of the Warring States Period by having the Chu win out over the Qin, enabling the former to consolidate southern China while someone else unifies the North. With an impasse in place and the Chu free to gather their bearings, they incorporate Vietnam — and eventually, pretty much all of Indochina alongside Taiwan, Indonesia, the Philippines, and potentially even Oceania. All in all, an East Asian trade empire that has made the Asia-Pacific its oyster and is primed to expand its commerce further, if its business with the equally mercantile powers of South India are any indication.

Horatio Seymour wins the Democratic nomination in 1864 WI he'd done better than McClellan? I'd have to invent a time machine to thwart him. We Modern New Yorkers consider him something of a disgrace. He was a Softshell.

I've looked at that idea. Not withstanding that Thor Heyerdahl tried a reed boat experiment from Morocco to Brazil, I have to go with best evidence. The Ra and Ra II were cheeky dubious cheats based on best mid-twentieth century back-engineering and seamanship which was and is FAR superior to what the Malineese could possibly have had in the 13th century. Reed boats similar to what Heyerdahl used, depend on a special papyrus that was harvested in Ethiopia and water proofed with a pitch resin the Egyptians did not use and to which the Malineese had no access. That papyrus was woven together with a MODERN rope which neither the Malineese nor the western Arabs, nor the Egyptians had, either. It is barely possible that western Arabs could have stellar navigated the latitude problem with their sand clocks and primitive sextants, but I would have put more trust in a compass. Where are the eastern Arabs with their compass, pendulum timers and sextants?

‘ATL Cuisine And Culinary Practices’.
Compared to war, culture, and geopolitics, food and food preparation tends to be overlooked in AH circles. That said, butterflies would also apply to food, thanks to differences in tastes, recipes, and ingredients based on supply chains and what’s locally available.

Probably in Tennessee about the same time (1950s) as the Colonel introduces New York style BBQ hamburgers.

Burr's Republic Possibility of Aaron Burr surviving and establishing an independent Republic in Texas? I’m not too sure. Texas wasn’t exactly on anyone’s radar in America yet. I could be wrong though.

If the US broke up before 1800, would it be possible for a southern equivalent of the Erie Canal to be built to the Ohio River Valley? There was notably the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal IOTL but it only got to Cumberland, Maryland and it was a financial disaster in the long-term.
