AHC: Have a Jewish-like ethnic group originating in China reach Europe before 1500 AD.
By Jewish like I mean:
1. Being culturally distinct
2. Largely marrying/reproducing among themselves (at least for majority of it's history)
3. A high emphasis on literacy and education
4. As a bonus - speaking a Chinese-derived language but it's not a requirement

Well he seems to have been a big factor in changing a fairly obscure Jewish sect into a religion that can spread far more widely and also differentiate it from Judaism. Plus if he doesn't change that could mean he continued to 'persecute' Christians so that could be another problem for the new faith although his OTL big role in the changing and early spread of the faith is markedly more important I think.
The obvious issue is whether someone else would take up the role that Paul did OTL and difficult to tell with that.

WI Columbus had been supported by Portugal?
In that case, he would have started by going to the Azores, which seems to make the trip shorter - but would have had to drive against the wind/gulf stream from there on, so he wouldn't ever have arrived in America. What would people have concluded in this case?

Could upstate and downstate New York have split apart in the event the US Constitution is never ratified? In "Decades of Darkness", it actually is. First, they split off the state of Long Island; later, the rest is split into the states of Niagara and Hudson. But that's in a TL where New England incl. NY goes independent, and a united NY State would have too much weight.
