‘ Magitek Antiquity’. Which is to say, the Classical World acquires various contraptions and mechanical devices that are powered by magic (rather than, well, the laws of physics). For instance, imagine Carthage employing an army of robots animated by magic or an Antikythera mechanism imbued with Greek sorcery, allowing it to forecast astronomical events with perfect accuracy. (Yes, I know I just unleashed a swarm of pterodactyl-sized butterflies here that may very well prevent the societies we know from arising, but let’s just assume there’s a “butterfly net” that preserves Rome and the other big kahunas of Antiquity to keep things simpler.) |

‘Punic Industrial Revolution’.
Probably ASB (hence why I put it here), but given how Rome/Greece are such go-to’s for these sorts of what-ifs and the various “proto-examples” of industrial-age tech the Carthaginians developed IOTL (such as serialized production), I thought it’d be fun to make Carthage the Workshop of the Med this time.

I'm not sure they would be willing to use such weapons, although possibly for tactical use to smash a German defensive position - especially since 1945 information would probably not be really aware of the issue of fall-out so the 1917 people would be caught by surprise by the contamination problems that would result. For all the taboos broken in the war, largely by the CPs I think there would be a strong reluctance to use such a weapon against a civilian/urban target.
Possibly the German naval base at Wilhelmshaven might be an option as its a clear military target and inside Germany. [An attack on the western front defences have the additional problem of their devastating [and irradiating although they won't know that] either French or Belgium territory].

Not sure it would change much as I don't think it was a problem of lack of communication rather than a lack of understanding of what was going on by both Gorbachev and his opponents.
There is the possibility that if he suddenly displays this ability it might be used by opponents to raise queries about where this came from and might end up with him being removed from power or undermined earlier before the USSR collapses as OTL.

Nazi Germany is screwed. Its lost a lot of its territory, population, industry and probably a good chunk of its military. Also while Hungary might be more concerned with possibly regaining 'Hungarian' territory lost in WWI there is no way Poland and the Czech republic will allow Hitler and the Nazi party to stay in control of Germany. Plus while their forces are markedly smaller than the German army their a hell of a lot more powerful. Peace would be impossible anyway as the Nazis would never accept the loss of so much land to Poland or the only recently seized Sudetenland.
The rest of Europe will be confused and shocked by the sudden appearance of those states and also their strong hostility to Nazi Germany. Information from the up-timers, especially those who come from their own nations will help in this but also shock many about the political and social changes in the 70 years that follow.
Also of course the nuclear genie is definitely out of the bottle. Not sure what if any US nuclear weapons are on Visegrad soil but the simple knowledge of nuclear weapons and their design and development are going to cause all the great powers to engage in a race to get their own deterrent force.
Not sure what will happen to down-time eastern Poland. The 2019 Poland will seek to protect it and incorporate it, which will probably succeed with their military strength and the threat from Stalin to the east but there will be problems absorbing 1939 people into the modern nation. You could also see a lot of the Jewish population seeking to move to Israel and being welcomed there, albeit again with problems bring them up to speed so to speak with the modern world, educationally and socially.
There will be problems in terms of how much of their technology the up-timers can maintain as their cut off from a lot of their suppliers and trade partners. Even so their going to do better than most of the down-times in the turmoil that will develop in terms of news of what the 'future' would have for them and which groups seek to encourage or prevent some of those events.
