Yeah, although I wonder what happened to the tank graveyard that the Soviets had with a massive amount of tanks in it. Still, I’m surprised there are no fanboys of Japanese military hardware. The same way how those "give us for free" boys want the DND to get mothballed aircraft at the Arizona boneyard. The are fanboys of Japanese military hardware. It's unfortunate the DND cannot get those because of Article 9.

One thing about Filipino military otakus though, would be that none of them would be fanboys of Chinese military tech.
Going back, any issues with artillery pieces for the Army/Marine Corps?

I'm gonna have to research if the Philippines was looking toward MLRS from the U.S. or South Korea. I do recall the Project Santa Barbara was the Philippines' first attempt to construct a MLRS but that failed. The PA and PMC have dozens of towed-artillery which has been used in Zamboanga, Marawi, and the ongoing insurgencies with the NPA and BIFF.

What was wrong with Project Santa Barbara in the first place?

What was wrong with Project Santa Barbara in the first place? It was plagued with issues and almost killed Marcos during a fire testing.

What about the Roman Candle? Was that plagued with the same problems as Project Santa Barbara?

What about the Roman Candle? Was that plagued with the same problems as Project Santa Barbara? I read it couldn't push through due to financial and resource problems.

Marcos's own sticky hands with regards to money didn't help either.

Not sure, but then again, the Philippines had limited resources when it comes to military projects. Of course, if they just turned their old M41 Walker Bulldogs that were decommissioned into scrap metal, that would have been a wasted opportunity, as they could have used that chassis for additional military experimentation, leading to the Philippine Frankenstein tanks along the Israeli scenario.

I remember reading that Elisco produces M16 rifles under license from Colt. In modern day, we have Government Arsenal and FERFRANS producing some guns for the country. The latter is a U.S.-based company in California but was founded by two brothers from Cebu.

What is the probability of the Philippine Army and Marine Corps improving on their logistics? Especially during natural disasters when typhoons come around? Because I can guess that the Navy does more of the work than the Army and Marine Corps.

Because I can guess that the Navy does more of the work than the Army and Marine Corps. Well the Army and Marines use their trucks and small rubber rafts during flooding. However, the Marines have an edge because they have the amphibious assault vehicle which could wade into flood waters were a truck or an M113 couldn't. If the Army reactivates their aviation unit, that would greatly improve logistics.

The Philippine Army could just simply order two more of those heavy lift helicopters though, couldn’t they? Besides the Chinook, what other helicopters could they acquire?
