The Empire of Japan and it's puppets, territories and concessions. 9 September 1936 to 9 September 1976 (when Mao dies). So Manchuria and occupied China, A large part of the islands in the pacific north of the Equator are also now from 1936.

US definitely will not be happy that it's bases have disappeared. The world will see a major economic crisis. |

I would say more, especially considering that the Japanese would reject any Chinese demands to withdraw, let alone surrender and what the Japanese did in China, its more likely a certainty that Japan will be nuked.
Agree both a major economic crisis and serious political ones. The US has lost not just its forces and bases in Japan but some important allies, Japan itself, S Korea and Taiwan. The other issue is what the Soviets do. They will demand the 'return' of S Sakhalin and the Kurils and might use this as an excuse for an all out attack on Japan, with the aim of taking at least Manchuria and Korea and possibly also invade Japan itself.

i don't think a "the airspace and territorial waters arounnd a nation are ISOTed but the land is not" is done much. I'm thinking of using it as another scenario to **** up Suharto's invasion of Portuguese East Timor. Sure, he still has the ground troops waiting on stand by in Indonesian West Timor but with alll Indonesian air and naval assets having suddenly vanished, old Sue Harts will be praying that that is Sheperd's Pie in his knickers...

1926 China. Communist Chinese receive all modern non-WMD technology plus historical knowledge from their modern counterparts one year before Civil War. KMT is screwed but don't know how this affects Japan, WW2, Cold War and beyond.
