I don't think the technological regress will be so severe. The Chinese could not make advanced carbon steels. See MAP.   As an absolute minimum, the Vietnamese need copper, tin, iron, coal, and it would be helpful if they had oil and ZINC and bauxite. They do not have any of that. China, to the north, will crush them. And then the Europeans will come and crush China and Vietnam. Hand-drawn map, eh? That’s… new, and I assume you either made it yourself or cribbed it from “someone else”. |

Mikhail Gorbachev ISOT into Stalin 1925. Fundamentally, Gorbachev was ideologically no different from that mass murderer and genocidist. The question is more about how moral Gorbachev was. Stalin was a sociopath and clearly insane with no human empathy whatsoever as witnessed by how he dealt with his niece. To my knowledge, while Gorbachev was a powermad apparatchik and quite a despicable human being, he balked at murder as political policy and had some compassion for the Russian people. How that translates into differences as he confronts the Finns and the Polish war would be "interesting". |

They, founder and antecedents to Wagner, both were in Syria as guns for hire for Assad's criminal regime at the time under discussion. The USG began tracking them as soon as they went "open" and recruited non-Russians in 2013. |
