I'm curious but how would the POD in 1969 affect space opera films like Star Wars and Star Trek for this universe? I'm sure there will be a multitude of pop-culture butterflies in play here. thats not all the Black Hawk down incident on Somalia didnt happen. |

There were already cases of rape and mistreatment of locals from American servicemen. With the U.S. still remaining in Clark and Subic, there would be ATL equivalents of this. |

So US and Soviets been on Mars you think Mars will been possibly Terraformed in near future who knows if they found life or water on either North or Southern Ice Cap been frozen decades ago.

Nah he just got cold feet and pulled out just before he landed...again. He was maybe three seconds from the surface of Mars. All he had to do was man up for a second or two longer and he would've made history. By given the control to a rookie. No by landed the damn pod thing. The ground was like two seconds away. All he needed to do was just be a man for a second longer and he would have done what he failed to do in 1969. The rookie as you call him is likely trained. Having it for a second is unlikely to see him crush land the pod...ship thing. |

No. In 2022 it would still take like 100 years to do anything worthwhile. In 1994 that wait time will no doubt be even longer. It'll be years before anything on Mars is set up in any meaningful sense. As for life on Mars the best we may find is long dead lifeforms. If For All Mankind goes the way of life off of Earth, I would opt for one of the Moons of the gas planets. |
