This episode felt like a setting-up type episode. Not much of worth happened besides that the Soviets have water. Besides that, I can't see much point in rewatching it. The black guy coming out as gay just feels forced and added next to nothing of worth in the episode. It is easily the weakest episode of the season so far and I hope the next one does something to make up for this fairly flat episode.

I have a feeling the next episode will see a Lewinsky type of affair but involving gays.

I have a feeling the next episode will see a Lewinsky type of affair but involving gays. I had to look up what you meant by that but do I believe you may be right. It would also push the narrate a bit. This season seems to be the one that'll see her be forced to come out as gay. If she doesn't come out as a gay person I just don't see a way to do so that would work even half as well. This show is all about a better world. Better tech and better views on those that aren't like us in every sense. This is the 1990s. Views on gay people were better than they were in the 1960-1980s. Sure we still had a ways to go but if you are right and people see just how many high level people are gay and served the nation, I really do think she could return the focus to Mars when it belongs. A fear I have and why I may rewatch the last few minutes is to make sure he isn't about to blow the story of the POTUS being gay. If that happens I can only hope people keep in mind she was the girl who got the tank and saved the mission all the way back in 1972 and has done great things for the nation. So she is gay...why should that matter? So that black guy on Mars is gay...so what? He did the training. He passed all the needed tests. He has as much right to be there as anybody else.

Well if we go on the Lewinsky type of affair she will survive it as it is the last episode of the Season.

‘For All Mankind’ Renewed for Season 4 at Apple
“For All Mankind” has been renewed for Season 4 at Apple.
The announcement was made Friday as part of the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Production on the new season is scheduled to begin in August. Season 3 of the series debuted on the streamer on June 10.
“For All Mankind” is an alternative history series that explores what would have happened if the global space race had never ended. The series presents an world where NASA astronauts, engineers and their families find themselves in the center of extraordinary events seen through the prism of an alternate history timeline — a world in which the USSR beats the US to the moon.
In Season 3, the series moved into the early ‘90s with a race to a new planetary frontier: Mars. The Red Planet becomes the new front in the Space Race not only for the U.S. and the Soviet Union, but also an unexpected new entrant with a lot to prove and even more at stake. The characters find themselves going head-to-head as their ambitions for Mars come into conflict and their loyalties are tested, creating a pressure cooker that builds to a climactic conclusion.

I'm happy to see it'll at least get into the 2000s. My only wish for this alt-history 2000s is for the twin towers to survive. I don't mind if 9/11 like attack still happens. I just want the towers to not be lost as a result of the attacks. My stepdad was from the city so it'll be nice to have at least a part of his old home survive the day even if it's just in an alt-history world.
Still, it's always nice to see good shows get renewed for more episodes. Now I just have to think up what NASA will be doing in the mid-2000s as that'll be the likely timetable we'll be dealing with. The mid to late 2000s. Maybe the race in 2000 ends with an Al Gore win.

Sure but I don't think we can go from Mars to Europa. A rover could maybe be done but I think season four would be akin to what season 2 did. See a much bigger Mars colony with maybe like 100 or more people.
We could easily set up some domed cities on Mars by the mid to late 2000s. Given that there seems to be a push to at least imply life exists on Mars proof of that would ensure a bigger focus on Mars. What I feel could be done is sending probes to get some asteroids and moving them into Mars orbit for mining. I'm unsure how much that would cost but if we could mine asteroids we can at least ease off mining our planet.

Jupiter moon Europa in Saison 4 ?
First they need more powerful engine as those "Nerva" derivates they use in Series Something specific Impulse of 100000 sec will do the trick (Fusion Engine)
But Jupiter has deadly radiation belt, spacecraft operate in orbit of Jupiter have face radiation that fry there electronics ! and Europa in middle of Jupiter radiation belt, running in Spacesuits on it surface is very short and final experience...
What NASA, SOVCOSMO, HELIOS & Co send to Jupiter, it has a heavy radiation bunker for its crew.

So people died and people survived in "The Sands of Ares".
And new life is created on a planet far away.

The first baby to be born not just in space but on another planet. It is safe to say that child will be known the world over when he/she is born. If season four goes ten years which is what seems to be the norm the child would be about a year old when the next window opens for a return trip. I'm unsure if a child born on Mars could return to Earth. Mars is only around 38% the G-force of Earth. A child born on the red planet may not have the bones needed to return to the homeworld. He or she may have to live on Mars. It does open up the show to a whole host of neat ideas moving into season four. How will they deal with the first space baby? How does the baby grow on a planet with only 38% the G-force of Earth? How will the world react when the news that the mother is an American and the is father a Soviet?
Season four already sounds like it'll be a good season. Hopefully it does well enough to get a season five greenlit.
