I have only seen the trailer and not the film, but I was outraged at Jojo Rabbit. It is meant to be a satire about Nazis. Maybe it has a higher message, showing hope through adversity etc. Maybe.
But all I saw was someone finding comedy in Nazi atrocities. No one needs to be reminded that the Nazis were evil. Some horrible little person has just decided to make some money while pretending they are addressing a serious issue and educating viewers.

Far worse. It's about a kid in the Hitler Youth during the latter stages of the war. Jew hunts are comical disasters. He's got an imaginary friend: a bumbling, adorable Hitler. Uh-huh... That sounds...rather morbid. And I’m unsure how big of a target market this show is intended to cater towards, let alone how much of it will actually be pleased with what they see. |

I must admit I'm rather curious why Disney seems so eager to remake assorted cartoon films with 'real life' people? Looks from the trailer their still including at least some elements of fantasy so I'm not sure I see the point to it?

I think Mulan is also a movie that is being aimed at the very huge Chinese market. |
