Of course, in the Crossed Comics, such situation happened as Israeli and Pakistani officials are presumed infected and push the red button, nuking India and Middle East. In fact, it was even said that Indian gov refuse to nuke Pakistan in retaliation arguing that it won't change anything. By the way, in "The Thin Red line", Russian Tu-95 pilots infected decide to nuke some NATO cities as in America, the last US federal gov orders was to execute Nuclear specialists in order to avoid that they bring on nuclear reactors mealtdown if they are infected. With the chaos with Washington at least partly overrun I doubt there would be much chance of that. [Did they retrieve his body I can't remember?]
Also I would have thought, with the possibility of infection that cremation for everybody who dies, whether thought infected or not, would be the best option.

What you should understand is that crossed people aren't zombies, they are not braindead, they know how and where to strike and take pleasure of that.
If a "classical" (Romero-Style) zombie alone isn't so dangerous, a crossed infected is probably the worst danger ever encountered: either he can committs atrocities, take advantage of his skills and work with other crossed!
