Didn't know that. Still, that upheaval isn't good for Holland at this time in the way - Hongerwinter, nuclear bombs and a change of Queen aren't a good combination. So who is going to be the next king ore queen of the United Kingdom, must be out of Londen and in the line of succession. The simplest solution I can see is to take a child in a cadet branch of the Windsors and make him King, then for the junta to appoint themselves regents.

Well there will be some member of the wider family out of the blast zone at that point. The only awkward issue might be if enough of the immediate family are wiped out that someone suggests bringing Edward VIII back but I think we would have to be quite a long way down the inheritance chain before that became likely, let alone supported.

That would create a Fatherland scenario I think.

There might be a short term junta but I can't see it outlasting the war in Europe before democracy is restored. There would be no support for it including in the army.
If the bomb took out central London including most of the government structure then I'm not sure where the new Parliament would meet. Probably in Birmingham perhaps? Would need somewhere with a fairly large government structure.

If you mean some sort of military dictatorship then I doubt it. Even if the US and allies were willing I can't see either the population or most of the military, having fought a long war to protect freedom and liberty allowing such as more than a short term measure.
