What about a ‘How Would Uptimer-Downtimer Student Exchange Programs Work’, e.g. between the 2010s and 1970s as just one example? The ASB board would be the correct place to put that kind of thread. |

What about a 'Balkanized Future US' or 'Second American Civil War' thread? I assume that the most immediate place is 'Future History', but wonder if the geopolitical undertones would be enough to post either of them in 'Politics and Current Affairs'.

Because I’m curious as to how he’ll react to the state of the world since his passing IOTL, whether in regards to everyday social and technological changes, or the Cold War between the US and Soviet Russia. There’s also President Reagan and the substantial move to the right that his presidency marks, further away from the New Deal paradigm that FDR championed.

Interesting point. Also I wonder how he would react to what he did after 1940? If he came from before the collapse of France he would probably be surprised by how quickly and completely the US not only got involved in what became WWII but also staying as a garrison force in western Europe and a power around the world for a couple of generations afterwards.

Even though it’d probably go in ‘Politics and Current Affairs’ if I posted it now, I assume that after the 2020 election happens, ‘2016 Western US To 1976’ would belong in the ASB board?
