A couple to ponder:
WI the Great Depression had happened a decade earlier? How would it affect Prohibition, etc?
WI Communist instead of Fascist Italy? What does this mean for German/US relations if Hitler still happens?
As far as the Middle East goes IMO I don't think the Arab world would ever be secular without being run by dictatorships or at least autocratic governments. And socialism never really took off in the ME partly because it was seen as too secular.

PC: Jose Calvo Sotelo doesn't get assassinated
The murder of said guy above had been the primary factor in the attempted coup launched by the Spanish military, which not only ended in failure, but the Spanish Republican government's equally incapability to suppress the coup would eventually lead to the Spanish Civil War. Would Sotelo staying alive stave off the fears of civil war, or would another assassination simply triggered the civil war?
