Napoleon would be quite flummoxed, I'm sure, in large part because the America he knew is nothing like the hegemonic colossus it became after World War II. But at least he knows what America is, whereas many of his colleagues—Julius Caesar, Hannibal Barca, and Genghis Khan among them—wouldn't have the first clue about how a gigantic unknown landmass from across the ocean is where the dominant power resides nowadays.

Given her popularity in the modern world there are probably quick attempts to whitewash the Papal decision to brand her an heretic. Mind you it would be interesting to see what she things of the modern world.

Given her popularity in the modern world there are probably quick attempts to whitewash the Papal decision to brand her an heretic. Mind you it would be interesting to see what she things of the modern world.
I think her fate is too well-known for the Church to sweep under the rug, so their best bet would be to apologize and be sincere about it (and Francis, regardless of what you think of him, seems like the type to do it). As for what she thinks, I assume she’ll have an extended stay at the Vatican, both because she’ll need time to adjust and because it’s probably the most “familiar” place the modern world has to offer. After all, 600 years does wonders for making the world unrecognizable, and given how “busy”, “interconnected”, and quite possibly “blasphemous” it all is… odds are she’d wind up making a good Nun. At most, I can see her agreeing to occasional (private) interviews with historians and theologians from the outside world, but making an actual living there? … Yeah, probably not. |

That sounds like a recipe for disaster. True he would hopefully know something about the USCW and related matters but Nicholas is a die hard autocratic and deeply Orthodox rather than Protestant. Assuming it's his mind in Lincoln's body I wonder what he would think of trying to interact with the latter's family. I think unless forced to try and impersonate Abe by some means he would try and explain what's happened and hence end up in an asylum. That would make Hannibal Hamlin the new President. [Also of course Nickolas has lost his family which for all his faults he loved deeply. Asking about them could raise some questions but he's going to be deeply depressed to learn what their fate was.]
If he's forced to impersonate the President and ignoring the personal problems that would cause even if he knows fully what Lincoln knew he's going to struggle to overcome his own beliefs and value sets. As an autocrat he's likely to seek to suppress the revolution quicker and with more force which could drive a few more border states into the CSA. Furthermore he's likely to seek to ignore or bypass limitations on presidential power. Which could well mean he ends up being impeached at some stage. Likely to be very messy.
It also depends somewhat on the exact date of the ISOT. 1st Jan in each case means Nicholas has no idea of what a time bomb he was sitting on in Russia so is likely to still be extremely blinkered and opinionated. As opposed to possibly a more restrained and cautious character after the February revolution possibly teaches him some humility.
What might be an interesting scenario, especially if it was a 1st Jan ISOT and he has all Nickolas's knowledge as well as his own what Abe might do if in Nickolas's place. Still technically the all powerful autocrat of all the Russia's could he make enough changes to rescue 'his' family or prevent the latter Bolshevik coup and horrors? What might he do as WWI enters its final year?

At what point in her OTL life is she being crushed to death in this way? 
Assuming that doesn't happen then timing is important and I wonder about the effects of inflation in Ptolemaic Egypt. Then possibly Rome if/when they still overrun Egypt.

Well I don't think there's a basis for claiming damages for something that happened ~600 years ago, at least without race being involved. Also technically I think it was a Papal religious court so it could be the Papacy that would have any legal responsibility.
