I'm just happy that somebody posted them. I don't have an Apple account so couldn't watch them because there is no way in the nine rings of Hell that I'm going to join something to watch one show on it. That is what I hate about tv shows nowadays. All the good shows are locked behind a paywall. I don't have the money to be joining a handful of stuff to watch a handful of shows.

Given the fact that by For All Mankind's 1992 they already have 2000s-era flat-screen tvs and a woman is well on her way to the White House, I would think race matters are better here. However, unless we have something calling back to it which seems unlikely given episode four is set in 1994 I doubt we will ever know outside of a crew member saying it was butterflied away. I guess we could have it covered in one of those little news videos in-between seasons. But that would be weeks down the road.

I have to say I'm somewhat upset we have to wait another week before we may finally have Mars but I guess it makes sense. It'll take them weeks to make the trip so an episode set enroute to Mars works. As for the deaths I have to say I didn't think they would have a rocket roll over top that woman killing her like a bug. That was a move I didn't see coming.

Neither did i, so one American, One British and it seems a Soviet death in the collision.

This is good news. I'm happy to hear that we will be able to see the mid to late-2000s in this world. Given how they love to jump about ten years par season and we are in 1994 I would guess we would pick it up around the year 2005-2008.
Any guesses as to what the state of the world will be in the 2000s? I foresee a lot of people outside of NASA and the like working in space. It does seem like a lot of people working in oil are going to be out of a job soon. With this much anger, I wouldn't put it past the showrunners to have somebody try to mess with a rocket causing it to fail in some way. I mean this newest episode has shown that they are willing to kill people in some really bad ways.

Well we could merge 2001: A Space Odyssey into Season 4, but doubt introducing aliens is a step to far.

Meeting aliens is likely the end of the show. If I had to guess at what season that would be given the speed at which we are going through years I would say season six or seven. So I would say we would maybe see aliens or clues we are being watched by this world's 2030-2040s. You would want it to be past our time but within the lifetimes of people born in the 2000s.
The reason I think aliens would be how the show ends is that was one of the things listed in season one. We landed a man on the Moon and now we are going to Mars. The next step in that list is the belt and then the outer planets. Aliens would have to be set after we placed humans on the Moons of the gas planets. This I feel places it past our real life time of 2022 and in their worlds 2030-2040s maybe their 2050s.

Realistic, they could do a jump to 2010 with them doing asteroid mining ore something of that kind.

No, I agree it is a possible thing the show does. I was simply saying that it makes no sense to have them enter in season four. In a possible season five...maybe though I'm doubtful on the odds of such a move. Aliens to me seem more like a season six or seven type thing.
In real life, we would likely have to wait until around 2025-2027 to see something like that from the show. In the world of For All Mankind, it would have to be after all the major things are done in Sol.
Going back to 2010 with mining asteroids I could see that being done. I'm unsure to what level we would be doing it but I feel it is doable by 2010.
