For All Mankind is already in ATL 2001, where the USSR has opened up to the world a decade later than OTL. I wonder what else OTL event is changed in the ATL here. Perhaps another equivalent of 9/11?

I'm wondering if a 9/11-equivalent would occur somewhere either in the countries with space craft. Since there is no Soviet-Afghan War in this show's universe, that would mean Osama bin-Laden does not get radicalized. No Taliban and no Al-Qaeda but I'm sure Islamic terrorism would still be directed towards Israel.

Also, Oil has lesser value in the FAM universe due to global switch to nuclear fusion and the lithium mining on Luna, this has resulted in the United States being less interested in the Middle East, thus Muslims having nothing to blame them on.

What is the situation with Israel in FAM? If the US or some other great power is supporting Israel's survival then your likely to have at least reactionary Islamic being hostile to the supporters and quite possibly assorted governments in the region paying at least lip service to such hostility. Their material position is likely to be worse with less demand for oil and gas but that does assume that fusion power as an alternative hasn't reduced pressure for cutting consumption. Especially in terms of fuel for transport.

As far as i can read, Israel still controls the Sinai due to the Camp David Peace negotiations failing.

That would suggest to me that national tensions in the region are still high although possibly if governments, especially the Egyptian one probably are still hostile to Israel that might mean less reactionary Islamic forces as people are less alienated from such governments.
I get the feeling therefore that the US is in a more clearly pro-Israeli position and less friendly to many Muslim states, probably especially Saudi if there's less need for its oil. You might not have seen Iran fall to fundamentalists here.
However as I'm unlikely ever to see the series its not greatly important to me so no need for you to dig too deeply and spend time on the issue.

Also it seems that with oil not being used much, Saudi Arabia falls into civil war as of FAM year 2003 it is in a civil war: The civil war in Saudi Arabia continues to rage. A car bomb exploded in the Kingdom CenterW tower in RiyadhW.

Anwar Saddat also survives assassination compared to OTL. I wonder how this Saudi Civil War would look like. Perhaps a mix of Syria, Libya, and Yemen of the OTL 2010s.

I wonder if the U.S. military equipment is the same as OTL at this period or slightly advanced by a decade. So we would see F-22s and F-35s already flying in ATL 2003 along with advanced computer systems.
