I first saw this film in July 2004 and I actually quite enjoyed it. For a CineTel film, it did feel like a big Hollywood production. This film is notably obscure because there is only one trailer uploaded in 2018 on YouTube. It does not help that two other films share the same name.

I rewatched this film again in October 2013 on a free-streaming website when I was a college student. I realized the film then uses stock footage from End of Days, The Glimmer Man, and Sudden Death. Because of this, it has been criticized for relying too much on stock footage. As a kid though in 2003, I enjoyed it. As a college student in 2013, I enjoyed it as a way to unwind from studies.

In addition, this is one of the first post-9/11 terrorism-related movie that showed on TV.

A remake of the 1985 George Romero classic but employing fast and parkour-capable zombies just like Zack Synder's Dawn of the Dead in 2004. Unlike the latter, this one is a direct-to-DVD film shot on location in Sofia, Bulgaria. Some have considered this as the spiritual successor to the Dawn remake because Ving Rhames stars in this film as Captain Rhodes. Unfortunately, he dies early in the film.

It employs several B-movie horror tropes such as nudity, guns blazing, and the classic jump scare. Notably, Hollywood actors such as Nick Cannon, Mena Suvari, Michael Welch (who later stars in Twilight later that year), and AnnaLynne McCord star in the film.

An enjoyable B-movie to watch on a Saturday night especially if you want to laugh on the cheesy and bad special effects.

In my country, this aired on Cinemax under the title Hydra. I saw this around November 2009 with my parents. We weren't particularly impressed. As usual, we just kept on laughing at the bad acting and special effects.
