I'll start this thread.
This is something I saw in Cinemax Asia around 2007-09. Basically Cinemax Asia would air those movies that showed on the SyFy Channel.
One thing I remember is Termination Point (2007).
The summary of this film is that a scientist constructs a time-travel device but then it causes an apocalyptic event in the form of time-warp storms that threatens to engulf the entire planet. The U.S. government must find the scientist in order to undo this event. As this occurs, a plane mid-flight is hit by one of the time storm's lightnings and is sent to a black hole. Also, the time-warp storm threatens to disintegrate cities and living things once hit by the lightning.
As part of the trope Harsher In Hindsight, countless netizens have compared the plane scene in Termination Point as similar to MH370's disappearance in March 2014.
I am not sure if the TV series Manifest is based from this concept.

Reminds me of the movie Sound of Thunder. Oh what is this movie about? A very bad movie about going back in time, stepping on a bug and the ripple ex-echtgenoot destroying the Universe as we know it: A Sound of Thunder (film)

Typically used in time-traveling alternate history scenarios.

I also like when there is a big movie like Battleship, SyFy Channel makes it low budget second cousin and twice removed going by the name American Warships.
They do this with every allien movie that comes out in the cinemas.

They do this with every allien movie that comes out in the cinemas. Those films are from The Asylum, which already is notorious for producing mockbusters every time there is a major disaster, sci-fi, alien, creature, or superhero film. This is intended to dupe viewers into watching the mockbuster rather than the real title. Usually, grandmothers trying to give gifts to grandchildren fall prey to this marketing strategy. As usual, The Asylum has faced several lawsuits for titling their films close the title of a major release. Here you can see the full list of B-Movies they have: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Asylum_filmsAnd here's the trailer for American Warships.

Everyone is invited to share their thoughts or clips of SyFy Channel movies, other B-movies, Direct-to-DVD, Direct-to-TV, and obscure movies for this thread.

Mostly when my dad and I watch B-movies on Cinemax Asia, we just watch it to have a good laugh and comment on how bad the script, acting, and special effects are. However, there are some great B-movies (including big-cinema homages) and Direct-to-DVD/TV movies out there. Some exceptions include Ghost Ship, Ghost Voyage, Eight Legged Freaks, Spiders (2000), Evolution (2001), DC 9/11: Time of Crisis, Detonator (2003), and Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America (2006). I will be making separate posts for these in the future.

I suspect the quality is generally appalling but some of them sound positively hilarious.

Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America Is a movie that is about a virus that kills people, well we live in the movie Fatal Contact: Covid-19, but here Virginia is not under quarantine, still waiting upon a vaccine, no riots in the streets of New York but in other places and they have nothing to do with the virus we currently face.
