I saw this in the summer of 2013 on the Cinemax channel. A fairly enjoyable family movie. It reminded me of several Disney Channel Original Movies that showed in the late 2000s or the early 2010s.

Just as bad as the line from Uwe Boll's The House of the Dead (2003).

The movie tells the tale of two sisters who have to find missing gold bars from a military plane crash. This becomes a race against the clock as unsavory elements of the Philippine government and foreign mercenaries also want their fair share of the gold.

It was a fair movie for me. Not entirely the best since I could tell the production company were on budget. Instead, they hired Southeast Asian beauty models and Caucasian men that do not have experience in acting. There are countless cheesy moments and out-of-cue actions. Even some of the fight scenes look sloppy. Filipino actors only served as supporting characters.

There were also geographical errors. For one, the military plane crashed somewhere in-between the islands of Leyte and Masbate yet in later scenes it shows on the maps that the crash site was located in Imuruan Bay off the coast of Palawan, another 1,600 km from Leyte! Even eggregious was one of the radio operators from Leyte managed to reach Imuruan Bay in just minutes when in reality it would take 3 days by boat! I could slide it though that Palawan just doubled as Leyte since the former looks more beautiful with the blue waters and green islands on the background (look it up on Google Maps if you want proof).

I was actually happy this was filmed in Cebu. I easily recognize majority of the locations shown here such as Mactan Air Base, Mactan Island, Cebu Marina, and the South Road Properties. Even the pre-2010 skyline of Cebu is seen on the trailer. Further research showed the movie was filmed by Big Foot Studios, a foreign-owned film school located in Mactan Island where conveniently most of the scenes were filmed.

Fairly enjoyable for a Friday night movie. Obviously not the best but still better than local Filipino Star Cinema cringe.
