Sir, You Do Not Want To Go That Way - Arriving At Mall - Scene From Dawn Of The Dead
The nice details on the backgrounds: sirens in the far distance, children's toys being discarded in an empty play ground, and what appears to be either a fighter jet or a commercial plane flying above them twice.
As one of the comments point out:
Not to mention, Kenneth doesn't have his sidearm or his baton. Most likely lost them in combat.
And another comment replied:
It could be an F-16 belonging to the 176th Fighter Squadron under the 115th Fighter Wing of the Wisconsin Air National Guard based in Truax Field. The 115th Fighter Wing has been using the F-16 since 1993 so its use in 2004 would make sense. Only in OTL 2022, they shifted to the F-35.
I'd imagine the pilot of that F-16 must have escaped when Truax (Dane County Regional Airport; Madison, WI) was overrun. It was probably looking for an airfield or airport to land but there would have been no safe place to land.
Distance of Milwaukee from Truax Field.
If the pilot opted for Canada, the nearest base across the border is CFB Winnipeg and CFB Portage La Prairie, providing these two bases aren't compromised.
The Canadian Air force aircraft and bases.
Now we talk of fighter jets, both the F-22 and the F-35 are butterflied away. The F-22 only existed as prototype models at this period and it only started in service in OTL 2005.
Plus since we recently had the 2024 Paris Olympics, 2004 Athens is butterflied away.

What i love about this movie is the details, when ever Kenneth meets the nurse you can stil hear the sirens far away, and that indictees that they are still people alive and the system is still somehow trying to hold on, by that I mean it bring some kind of hope, but later in the movie there are no more sirens and then you know, there is no help coming, you are by your own. And further more you can see the details in the officers radio has been ripped out, sure he was in combat with the undead close combat action

You can hear fighter or maybe a passenger plane too when they were in the small tunnel. There would probably be nowhere to land safely eventually
