Interesting. I did wonder if they might have tried for Norway but then that commits them very quickly to a longer sea crossing and if something goes wrong then they are dead. Was puzzled about the video as from what I knew only one German POW escape captivity from the western powers, crossing from Canada to the then neutral US so wondering if they would actually make it.

Interesting. I knew some of this but a lot of additional info there. Knew the swastika was associated with ancient India and even early Christianity but didn't realise how widespread it was both in Asia and in parts of western Europe. When he talked about symbols associated with the Nazis I was half expecting the goose step to come up as well.

Very interesting, especially that the two survivors are still flying and preforming an important role 75+ years later. That's some endurance.

Interesting thanks. Never heard of this before and sounds like a serious case of complacency given that the Germans were picked up on radar as soon as they left port!
