Given that Wilhelmina is in the opening and has been a pretty significant character since she appeared, I would Guess she comes back for the final. And if she is popular enough, she Will transfer to the Harekaze in a possible next season. We do not know if there is going to be a second season, in Japan they do not do the things you expect, like not having a second season of Chivalry of a Failed Knight but still one of a lesser anime called Gakusen Toshi Asterisk. There are a number of Things that go into consideration when an anime gets a second season. Among them are demand (no studio or distributor is going to want a second season of a series that wasn't very popular), material to work With (there goes roughly two manga Chapters into one episode and two light novels into one season), budgeting (Japan is still in a recession and thus People are buying less Merchandise and the studio earns less money), Japan's declining population (basicly the shrinking population means that studios no longer have a reliable adience and thus need to hedge their bets) and Shorter series are cheaper to make (a twelve eipsode anime does not require busnisses plans on how to keep the adience interested, what merch is getting produced etc etc). |

Given that Asterix War was terrible and a Failed Knight was mediocre, I actually think neither deserved a second season. Well we do seem to have different views on what we like regarding anime, but i have here the V2.0 list of anime to be released in the summer, i think there are one or two i like. Seems all the ones I am interested in premiere in July. Well, now I have one more reason to look forward to July beside it being my vacation. |

Time for the weekly comentary on Haifuri episode 10:
- I predict this is going to be a breather episode after all the action the previous two epsiodes and the climax next week.
- An equator festival, that is not something you see very often in anime (though I Guess they don't really have much Choice when it comes to implanting the token festival episode). Does that mean someone is getting a tattoo?
- Shouldn't Best Character be removed from the opeing now that she has been put on a bus ship? Most likely this means she Will show up somewhere in the next epsiodes.
- I like the change in artstyle and everybody dressed up as 16th Century sailors. Great, now I want a spin-of based on this.
- Wait, previously they were able to Exchange the battery in what seems like hours, is this the wirters fixing a mistake or inconsistancy? This being Haifuri, I am willing to give them the Benefit of the doubt.
- At least the adults are not being totally useless and are actually taking back ships themselves (albeit offscreen). My Guess is that one or two of the destroyers is going to fight Harekaze in the next episode and then we have the showdown With the Musashi.
- BTW, I am certain the Blue Mermaids just picked Perseus because it sounds foreign (read: cool).
- It is now obvious why Yanagiwara wasn't made captain, she is far to much of a Control freak and can't Accept that these Girls are just kids and want to have fun. She is going to dread her twentyfifth birthday.
- Poor Akano getting sad because she misses her waifu.
- Yay for typical festival hijinks.
- Must be a sign of schoolship that you begin to associate every sound With a warship.
- What did they put in the macchi to make Mimi drunk like that?
- That rap is reminding me of Madoka: Rebelion's cake song for some reason.
- One of the twins Almost had a male boyfreind? Blashmeny, Girls should only love Girls!
- Would have expected Koko to base their performance on the war Movies she likes so much.
- And another ship sets sail to join the fleet.
- Marikomaru does sumo to? Is tehre anything this yamato nadeshiko does not do?
- A shot that really empathises how tall Kuro is compared to everybody else, she towers a head above Akano.
- Wait, Misami is only twelve years old and has already gone to university? Now she has suddenly turned into an Alice expy.
- Don't worry, Akano, you'll have Your waifu back soon. In the meantime, there is always Mashiro...

I found this episode a filler episode mostly, this is means that we still have 5 episode left depending if that is the amount of eps they are planning to do. You could say that it was filler since all plot progression happened off-screen or could have easily been delivered in the next episode (wait, by that defenition half of Yuki Yuna's episodes were filler) but I think of it as more of a breather episode because we can't have action in every episode and it did deliver characterisation for some minor characters. It is also a contrast between what we thought the show was going to be like (a Slice-of-life show) between what we got (a plot-driven show). |
