Thanks for the reply, beats reading reviews. Also seems that the Blue Mermaids also use Freedom-class littoral combat ship, no Japanese ship they could have chosen. Considering the US currently are the only ones who use LCSs, there really aren't many ships to base the design of. Maybe in the last episode the Americans come to the rescue as always.

In that case we would be seeing build up and foreshadowing for that to happen or else it Will just be a Deus ex Machina that makes the Harekaze's victory feel underwhelming. Besides, I think Japanese taskforce arriving to save the day is much more likely.

Found this pic of Bakuon: I now have a Complete understanding of why you watch this anime, Roel. Cute anime Girls who look like they use their skintight suits to smuggle melons.

In my defense i like the bikes. And the fanservice has nothing to do With it? What fanservice are you speaking of, that one of the girls has twintails, large frontal assets and wearing a skintight suit has nothing to do that i like a series that has bikes in it.

Yes, and I am not going to watch Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere because of the ecchi content but because of the Thirty Years War parralells. Come on, Roel, we both now why you really watched it.

There are some good anime that have nice lesson in history we can learn from, that some have girls with big assets and not enough clothes on only helps us remember the history much better.

Time for the weekly Haifuri commentary, which is late because I was playing Fire Emblem, not because I had forgotten about the series due to Reading an ecchi yuri Visual novel. Anyway, on to the epsiode - Ahh, Mashiro's sister is leaving already, I wanted to see more of her. - Hey, the Graf Spee is finally showing up again after being absent for six episodes. - Of course the Spee lands a hit while the Hiei couldn't, the Graf Spee's gunnery crews are firing With GERMAN precisision. - Must be a sign of this being Wilhelmina's focus episode that she gets to say more German then usual. - Actually, Wilhemina, Battleships tend to fare terrible against destroyers. Not only would their main guns have trouble keeping up With the faster Harekaze but they would also overpentrate the hull. Their secondary battery on the other hand... - Really? They got hit by a 152 mm HE Shell and nobody got turned into a bloody paste? You can clearly see which anime the staff previously worked on. - How did Macchi end up as observer? She got some wicked close combat skills. - Figured that the Yuri-lookalike wuld be versed in naginata-do. It is the weapon of a true Japanese lady. - Don't just stand there, knock her out and cure her. You are supposed to be an example of GERMAN efficency, Wilhelmina, act like it. - To be the captain of a ship populated primary by Western stereotypes, Thea is suprisingly short. Must be why she wears the cap and cape, to appear taller. - Poor Kouko is worried that her waifu might have to leave. Don't worry, Wilhelmina is in the opening, she is to vital to the plot to just disapear. She'll show up at the finale. And in a possible sequel series if she is popular enough.

If I had to Guess, it is either because the voice actors have trouble pronouncing the full name in a manner that is not laughable or being high School students, the cast just doesn't care how to properly pronounce it. It was. It was heavy on the yuri subtext, as every good anime should be.

Also why is a captain or a person who in charge small, the captain reminds me of katyusha in a way.

Given that Wilhelmina is in the opening and has been a pretty significant character since she appeared, I would Guess she comes back for the final. And if she is popular enough, she Will transfer to the Harekaze in a possible next season. Probably for comedy, after having spent six episodes With the Western stereotype Wilhelmina, you would expect the captain to be just as big as she is. Not so. Thugh at least she doesn't seem at all that bothered by her size unlike Katyusha (who is totally still growing, or so she says).

We do not know if there is going to be a second season, in Japan they do not do the things you expect, like not having a second season of Chivalry of a Failed Knight but still one of a lesser anime called Gakusen Toshi Asterisk.
