Are you referring to Pearl Harbor specifically, or other significant battles that take place over the next few years? Or both? Because even with Mattis-Patton potentially requesting an audience with FDR to persuade him to stop the Axis, and the US performing better in initial engagements than it did IOTL, that hindsight will probably become less and less useful as the resulting butterflies take flight. Then the timeline that Mattis has been sent to will have changed appropriately, though maybe grander-scale events like the Cold War could be better handled thanks to his foreknowledge, i.e. taking up a harder line against Soviet Russia as it tries to incorporate Eastern Europe into the communist bloc. Well it depends, if he woke up in 1940 then he could use his information as long as it last (due to butterflies of course) to prevent ore change things. I agree. Aside from the obvious, what might he be likely to change when it comes to specifics?

'2012 US Replaces 1972 Canada', meaning that it'd now exist alongside its counterpart from forty years earlier.

Only Canada, not the Canadian forces in Germany of 1972. You know what, let’s send overseas Canadian military assets as well. I can’t imagine that they’re as extensive or multitudinous as uptimer America’s, but them being uptimers, they’d surely make a difference nonetheless.

Where there Canadian troops in Afghanistan in 2012 and would the end up in Afghanistan of 1972.

I'm guessing that at least some of them would get redeployed to assist NATO (i.e. further deterring Soviet Russia from doing something stupid), but still.

I'm guessing that at least some of them would get redeployed to assist NATO (i.e. further deterring Soviet Russia from doing something stupid), but still. That might happend. I'd agree. Granted, I'm guessing that the Canadians would be reluctant to help the US in Vietnam, due to the fact that--even though even OTL America was handily winning--the optics of helping them when the public thinks the exact opposite would be damaging. Plus, I'm also under the impression that Canada's a less militaristic society anyway, making it more sensitized to deaths in the line of duty and whatnot. As far as non-military ripple effects go, news of President Nixon and the Watergate Scandal--even if it hasn't happened yet--will prevent him from winning his OTL landslide against George McGovern. In fact, I wonder if he could get primary'd thanks to plummeting approval ratings no matter how much he swears up and down that he's "not a crook" (gee, where have we heard that one before?). That, in turn, would make 1972 even more chaotic than IOTL--never mind other news that'd come from Canada. The US finally withdrawing from Vietnam, Ronald Reagan and the Cold War, the first black POTUS in 2008 would be just a few shockers to America at this time. And even those who remain ignorant of these would no doubt notice the electronic devices that their northern neighbors carry around with them, or how they use it to communicate by "smartphone" as well as "this internet doohickey they keep mentioning".

‘Humans Become Immune To Contagious Diseases’. Well that makes a lot of people happy. Indeed. Though physical trauma and non-contagious conditions (i.e. cancer) will still afflict people. Fortunately, removing the aforementioned diseases from the equation does free up vast amounts of healthcare resources to take care of leftover health problems.

Yes. In fact, from the moment of conception, all humans become impervious to contagious diseases like the flu. And this is permanent, in case you're wondering (though that doesn't give people a license to wallow in germ-ridden filth like pigs).
