Let's hope the new star wars movie is better than the garbage known as the new star wars movies, with a huge minus to the fantastic movie rouge one. Disney destroyed the star wars franchise, and their values are less family-oriented now, unfortunately.

You're right on every point there, in my view. The sequel trilogy was quite awful and the majority of the modern additions, with the exception of Rogue One, have been very bad indeed. Some of the television shows have been decent, but the main storyline's failure have detracted from them. The Disney approach of de-canonising the EU has been quite negative, but my view on that is coloured by recently playing KOTOR for the first time.

I’ve quite enjoyed Obi Wan Kenobi thus far and haven’t really seen the horrific negatives that some commentators have. I’m definitely on the same page as then regarding the pillaging of IPs for modern media adaptations, but this isn’t a trainwreck yet. The Reva character is a bit overdone, but this isn’t a Wheel of Time/Last Jedi/Rings of Power yet.

Like the series as well, if we ignore the Princes meeting Obi Wan as a child and the epic 10 year anniversary fight he had with Darth Vader before their final fight in Star Wars: A New Hope. |

I don’t call it A New Hope, as that just smacks of marketing to me. It was Star Wars back when it was fresh and daring.

The Reva character is a bit overdone I'm not sure what to make of the character. The actress was not given much to develop besides "RRRR, I'm going to get you, Obi-Wan." The current so-called 'critical remarks' aimed at the actress' person, that are not cogent to either to what I regard as the flat writing of the story and underdeveloped character she portrays, are despicable. |
