Small typo in the WWI entry for today. SMS MAGDEBURG was grounded in the Baltic rather than the Black sea.

Lordroel In the WWII entry for today at the end of the section on the attack on Coventry you have a paragraph.
To me it sounds like that 2nd sentence has been truncated?
Checking the dates tomorrow will be the last day of the this day in history thread. Been very interesting thanks.
Only realised yesterday, because of the number of pinned threads that I was missing some active ones further down so will try and make sure I look further down the page.

Yep tomorrow in November 15th will be the end of this 1 year project, working on a new project that might be about naval history.

On today's WWII entry
a) On the sinking of the Medoc you have a typo where you refer to it as a plane "A lone Luftwaffe plane strafes the plane, then on its second pass torpedoes and sinks it."
b) "This includes two modern battleships, the Vittorio Veneto and the Giulio Cesare". Vittorio Veneto is one of their new ships but Giulio Cesare, although extensively modernised was initially completed in 1914, see Giulio_Cesare.
c) I was a bit confused by the mention of the last set of DDs transferred under the base deal as you mentioned that before back on the 21st. However checking back that was when they arrived at Halifax and this is actually when their formally transferred.
I see British secret agent Fatman [aka Goring ] is helping in hindering the German war effort in the Atlantic.
Landings behind Italian lines might have helped considerably in the wider campaign but logistics were strained and with the growing priority given to Greece made the chance to clear out Libya definitely beyond the resources of Britain at this time.

Today in the WWI thread you have two entries for operations in the Atlantic, both about Sturdee's ships heading towards the Falklands and with some overlap. Possibly best to consolidate them?

Small typo I think in the WWI thread entry. You have:
Shouldn't that be the East Indies?
In the WWII entry:
suspect this should be sinks?

In the WWI thread you have a map for the Mesopotamian offensive that ended so disastrously at Kut. However as the map says this was the 1915 offensive, not anything in 1914 so I think it would only confuse matters. I can't even see Qurna, the location mentioned in the preceding text on the map so suspect its further down the Tigris river?
Actually did a quick wiki and see Battle_of_Qurna, which is about the coming battle there and includes a map which might be better, see map.

One typo noticed in the WWII thread today.
A 'ton' missing here.
Also on a technical point while Southampton and Coventry would qualify as moderately sized cities Birmingham is the 2nd largest in England - see Birmingham for more details.
