Would probably depend on whatever reasons it didn't occur. Also are you talking about in the US or elsewhere as well as it was a serious problem in Britain as well?

Good point. How about no Stagflation throughout the Western World, then?

Probably a better economic position for the west now then as it doesn't have the decay and uncertainty of OTL. Could well avoid Thatcherism in Britain which would be a great boost and the loss of self confidence that resulted from stagflation. Japan is still likely to be a major power and as long as Deng comes through after Mao dies China is likely to also emerge so E Asia is still likely to challenge the western economic dominance but it could be a closer battle in terms of economic power. Also the post-war consensus on a mixed economy is likely to be sustained longer. Might well see a markedly less extreme concentration of wealth and greater productivity in a number of countries as a result.

‘Barack Obama Never Gives 2004 DNC Speech’. Hillary Clinton is the nominee, which helps to keep Working Class Whites more favorable to the Dems but at the cost of lower minority and youth affiliation. Indiana and West Virginia are more competitive, while North Carolina and Virginia remain GOP-leaning. ‘No 2008 Financial Crisis’. 2008 ends up a referendum on Iraq instead of the economy. Obama still probably pulls off a win, but it's much more narrower and he doesn't have the mandate the congressional elections gave him. Probably few noticeable effects, assuming the New Union Treaty is the reason why it remained longer. Utterly horrifying to consider.

Any thoughts on the consequences entailed by LBJ getting killed by Lee Harvey Oswald while JFK survives the altercation?

'Less Harsh Treaty of Versailles'.
Earlier WWII? With less restrictions Germany is stronger and given the denial of their defeat the revanchists are likely to push for 'revenge' sooner. Hopefully too soon and the fact the western powers are weaker mean they decide to make a stand earlier and still defeat any German militaristic revival without western Europe falling.
Could be a lot of other butterflies and also it depends on what bits of the treaty are more generous to Germany. I.e. territoriality, economically, less military restrictions or whatever?
