When are you thinking that he'd first restart, i.e. the very beginning of ROTJ or right as Luke surrenders himself to Imperial authorities?

Well it has to be a moment he sleep, but knowing him, i doubt he sleeps well due the pain he suffers.

Maybe the closest thing he does to sleeping regularly is trance-like meditation where he concentrates on deepening his connection to the Dark Side even further? I also presume that it the timespan that ROTJ takes place--assuming that I remember enough to deduce how much time passes during the events of the movie, that is--Vader would've had several days of choice to start rewinding at?

So will he do the right thing and help his son and maybe end the Groundhog curse ore does he go crazy after a couple of repeating days.

I imagine he'd take the former route if it meant leaving the eternal loop. Plus, said loop would probably give him the needed experience to know exactly how to best help his son.

True, ore he tries to his best to kill the emperor, take the throne and have his son and even his daughter at his side.

I wonder what late 1970s or early 1980s audiences would’ve made of The Mandalorian, as in the live-action TV series currently streaming on Disney Plus.
Aside from the special effects, choreography and next-century storytelling, it’s grittiness and ‘Wild West in space’ sort of atmosphere might strike downtimers as surprising, though interesting. Similar might apply to how it explores the life of a mercenary trying to get by in the Outer Rim, when the Star Wars that they’re used to focuses on a band of freedom fighters taking on a galaxy-wide empire. And though I won’t spoil it right here, let’s not forget some bombshells that drop within the first few episodes as well, which ought to generate all the more craze amongst an audience already baffled by what they’re watching.

Even though kids might still be able to watch it, it’s also more graphic as well (some Stormtroopers get burnt to death by flamethrower comes to mind). And again, let’s not forget the bombshell that drops within the first slew of episodes.

In the spirit of reviving conversation around here, here's a breakdown of a certain spin-off that a great many fans would prefer to forget about.

What if the Emperor made during his time as chancellor a clone of young Anakin Skywalker when he first started training as a Jedi to be used when needed but instead it is found by Luke.

Very funny idea and would like to see that. Could see how someone like Lucas would become unhappy with the idea however. The 2nd half also showed that the unofficial universe is vastly greater than the now quite limited 'official' one.

Since the series has graced so many TV screens recently, here's a cool guitar cover of The Mandalorian's signature theme song that I thought to share here.
