What about a thread that asks if Venezuela could become laissez-faire capitalistic in the future, presumably as a backlash against its current economic woes? If it's acceptable on the board, would it go in Future History, Politics and Current Affairs, or perhaps somewhere else that I haven't thought of? With the current situation in Venezuela and so many things that can happen i do not think it is wise to create any thread about Venezuela becoming laissez-faire capitalistic in the future, we are in my eyes at a point to see a Civil War, a international intervention led by the United States ore what i hope is a peaceful transfer of power but which at this point is not something that i see happening soon.

Alright, then. Perhaps if and when things cool down in regards to Venezuela, then could someone make a thread about its future?

That is a good idea, at this moment the situation is to fluid and unpredictable to have a thread on its future if we do not know what tomorrow will bring to the country and its people.

If I were to place this in Politics and Current Affairs, would a "WI Gary Johnson Won the 2016 Election?" thread be acceptable on the forum? Or, is it too early to discuss it at the moment?

What about Plausible STEM in The Man In The High Castle? I know that in certain ways, the victorious Axis Powers are more advanced than OTL victors at the time, but am unsure how realistic said scientific acumen and technological development actually would be--especially since I'm somewhat skeptical of the whole "Third Reich wondertech" shtick.

Well there is already a thread out there called The Man in the High Castle - News and Discussion, everything that is about the series can be discuses there.

I wonder if maybe it'd have been better for me to have written it as 'Plausible STEM In Axis Victory World?', or even just a surviving Nazi Germany or Empire of Japan. As said before, I'm rather questioning of the Reich's supposed scientific acumen and technological prodigiousness when it was around. Regimes that suppress legitimate knowledge that they view as threatening would likely hold that sort of thing back, after all.

Problem with posting stuff about a surviving Nazi Germany or Empire of Japan it also comes with a lot of bad stuff that they where doing ore planned to do.

Very true, especially in terms of what the Germans did in Africa and eastern Europe/Russia, at least in the book. Don't think it mentions what's happening in places like China under Japanese control but doubt its good.

That is the trouble with these kind of threads, you will want to see the Germans ruling the world, but you must not forget the dark baggage that will come along with it.

What about 'Good OTL Media ISOTs to ATLs?', which would be about what sorts of real-life media would be worth sending over to other universes? For example, having Star Wars be shown in The Man In The High Castle--and discussing the various reactions to and practical implications of its arrival?

To move away from the more ASB or Media Hub-appropriate ideas, 'What Will Future History Books (Or Potential Equivalents) Say About Us?'
