In addition to me still asking about this, what about '2012 American South To 1962' as its own thread? The fact that a downtimer Democratic stronghold has since transformed into a 21st Century Republican bastion is bound to veer history off-course for sure. Being before 2016 and that it most likely will not become current politics, it can go in the ASB board. Thank you. I plan to post it sometime today. |

What about a 'Libertarian US South' thread? I'd assume that would go in either 'After 1900' or 'Politics and Current Affairs'.

Well you can post it in after 1900 as i already have said, but i fear i do not think i can contribute much to that thread as i do not know a single thing about libertarian to start with. That’s okay. Though it may not be the best idea to do so here, I can provide links to some good sources on libertarianism and its adherents (i.e. the US Libertarian Party’s website), if you’re interested in learning more. Going back to thread proposals, however, what about ‘US Never Opens Up Trade With China’? Should that go in ‘After 1900’, or is it sufficiently political to belong in ‘Politics and Current Affairs’? |

As I've suggested in the 'Miscellaneous, Non-Frivolous ASB Thread', how about ‘1988 George H.W. Bush Vs. 2008 Barack Obama’ in another presidential election? For this scenario, I’m thinking that the 2008 West Coast and Mountain States get sent back in time. Maybe some Southern states as well, so that the downtimers get a more balanced perspective on the digital savvy Democratic candidate that the uptimers have brought with them.
