I now have a fifth proposed thread idea that, once again, involves the same political bloc: mid-21st Century Deep South to some point during 1960--an election year that was originally between JFK and R. Nixon IOTL, but is bound to be shook up by the uptimers. Since this scenario features a Southern US from at least couple decades from now, I suppose I should wait a while before I put it up (if this forum is still around, that is)? I could've done a 2018 ISOT instead, but I wanted to give modern politics time to cool down so that such a scenario would possibly go (more) smoothly due to a unified uptimer base. You can put it in the ASB forum.

You can put it in the ASB forum. Ordinarily, I'd understand that. But if I went through with this thread now, it'd be a two-part scenario that also requires us to think about how the South will be in a few more decades--which is why I wonder if I should wait to see the real thing before putting the thread up. If I were to go through with it now and it turns out I'm wrong about the South by the actual mid-21st Century, am I able to redo this thread (if the forum's still recognizable, at least)? Thank you, Zyobot

Is it fine if I do the thread, or do you want me to wait on it?

Is it fine if I do the thread, or do you want me to wait on it? You can put it in Future History if it is several years from current date and is not ASB.

Since that's the case, then I suppose I should just wait.

I wonder if I could start a thread titled "TLs That For Whatever Reason, You Won't Execute?"--which is pretty self-explanatory--and put the mid-21st Century South ISOT in there as one of my examples.

You mean like the one on AH.com called TL Ideas you have, but lack the wherewithal to execut, good idea, you can put it in the General Chat board if you like.

Thank you again, I'll be sure to put such a thread up there.

I have another thread idea: "Political Blocs that Switch to the Other Side", or something to that effect. Essentially, it'd be to discuss voting blocs that identify as this or that way at one time, but have completely different leanings at another.
For example, maybe either of the Coasts become classically liberal/libertarian. Or, the US as a whole turns markedly left-leaning while the rest of the Western World (i.e. Europe and other American nations) shift to the right; on that note, it'd be super ironic if the Nordic countries of today made a Deep South-style switch by the mid to late 21st Century.
Would this belong in Future History, one of the Chat sections, or somewhere else that I'm missing?

I think you Will need to place that in either After 1900 AD or future history sections depending on Your POD. On one hand I can't see most European nations indulging in America-style, flags everywhere patriotism without a lot of diversion in the early 19th Century. On the other hand there is no denying that the right is on the rise across Europe and more and more People are arguing in favour of patriotism in France and Germany so it isn't impossible that you get more right-wing governments in the future. Also of note is that Scandinavia being Deep South-style conservative (I assume that is what you meant) is not that ironic given the region has traditionaly been very secular and Norway in particular is very protectionist.

This one may have an obvious answer, but since I’m paranoid I thought to ask anyway. If I were to create a thread titled, “Having Your Own Forum?” or something to that effect (the premise of which seems rather self-explanatory, as was often the case before), would it go in General Chat or somewhere else that hasn’t yet occurred to me?
Thank you.

What I meant, though, was discussing how it is to run one’s own forum—and perhaps being able to get such advice in the process, rather than having that be the main objective. I am, however, open to the idea of setting that sort of thing up in the future, but probably not for a while yet.
