They where already a nuclear power so why do you think they would increase production. Possibly the mentality that the more the better? Or that while they thought X warheads were enough to deter assorted Arab states the hard line fanatics of Iran need a lot more either to deter them or actuallty fight them with nukes? I fear that Iran in this timeline will be dangerous, they might think the are invincible and if you start thinking that than you might get into trouble called getting the United States as you enemy.

It might depend on how long Khomeini lived as he only survived until mid 89 OTL. If he lasted longer then his delusions of at least semi-godhood would probably have been increased further. Which could have made for a very dangerous situation.

A lot, just like OTL but more to Red Scare levels of the 50's, and Jerusalem going to be making nukes very soon, not a good recipe for a long trouble region. They where already a nuclear power so why do you think they would increase production. To deter a victorious fundamentalist Iran of course, it's common sense for a nuclear power. I can't see Israel doing otherwise, given that maintaining its existence since 1948 is top priority. They where already a nuclear power so why do you think they would increase production. Possibly the mentality that the more the better? Or that while they thought X warheads were enough to deter assorted Arab states the hard line fanatics of Iran need a lot more either to deter them or actuallty fight them with nukes? Speaking of Arab states, I have a feeling that they slowly might band together against a common foe, after all the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

That might be true, but will a alaince between countries that hate ore fear Iran last long enough. It depends how long the Islamist regime in Iran lasts, likely far into the middle of the 21st century for as far as I'm concerned; unless the Ayatollah is insane enough to get into a shooting war with the USSR and/or the USA.
