Yes, and now they are being moved to the next front. Aces are in huge demand everywhere and the Luftwaffe only has so many pilots overall so no ended tour of duty for them (Trude would have it no other way). On the other hand, there Will probably be many Movies, books and games made about them when the war is over. So is this a Goering pet project in having an all female fighter squadron. Kind of. It was Von Manstein who allowed women to join the Wehrmacht but for obvious reasons organised them into all-female units. It was Goering who realised that all-ace squadrons looked good in propaganda and made a usefull force multiplier in high-demand areas.

I hoop that Goering in this timeline is not the fat drug addicted Goering of OTL. Reminds me of Luftwaffe 46 by Ted Nomura where the Luftwaffe also had several female only fighter squadrons.

He won't really get the chance since Germany is in a state of total war and Von Manstein keeps him on a leash. He is still just kept around because he is the only one the Luftwaffe has left With his experience and because he is very good at appointing the right People to the right posistions. Never heard of but might check it out if I have the time.

The Luftwaffe 46 are comics with a lot of crazy things in it.

So is the 501st only made up of girls from Germany or also other countries and what about their male counterparts, do they also exist.

Oficially it is, but like a Bioware heroine Minna has a tendency to aquire a new member on every front she is deployed on. So by the end Lynne, Perrine, Sanya, Lucchini, Shirley, Eila, Mio and Yoshika have all joined under covert identities and the squadron is twice the size of the 502nd. As for their male counterparts, Wolf Dietland-Wilcke is Minna's cousin who helped her to get an officer rank while Erich Hartmann is Erica's twin Brother who trained her in flying.

So the 501st is something of a all female elite foreign legion type of squadron then. That make sense that the male counterparts are related to the female members of the 501st, but i wonder if there is a compaction between some of them as Erich Hartmann and Erica Hartmann are both aces in their universe and among the best pilots in the world.

That is one way to look at it I Guess. There would be a competition between the two siblings if either Hartmann really cared about that sort of Thing. Instead they are just happy that their sibling survives another Battle.

I also wonder, does Goering have more female squadrons in use like this: 501st Fighter Squadron "Strike Witches": commanded by Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke. 502nd Fighter Squadron "Brave Witches": commanded by Gundula Rall. 503rd Fighter Squadron "Typhoon Witches": commanded by Huberta von Bonin.

Then i think Adolfine Galland, might be the best choice to lead the all female squadrons, she might also be able to deal with Goering because she has good relations with the kaiser, now it is only the question, is she the sis, daughter ore niece of Adolf Galland .

Considering there is only a five year difference in age between the two, that makes her being Galland's daughter a bit dificult. The most natural would probably be her being his cousin or their parents must have a lack of imagination when it comes to names.
