What will the future of the U.S. Republican Party look like? Will the Republicans embrace Donald Trump's populism (in an attempt to energize their base) but without Trump's racism, bigotry, misogyny, and xenophobia?
Indeed, any thoughts on this?

I think it will survive, it will be weaken but it will be there to fight in 2020.

One interesting prediction I've seen is that the Republicans will become the party of the white working class disaffected by globalization, while the Democrats will become the party of the neoliberal elite.

while the Democrats will become the party of the neoliberal elite. And the party of social liberals, feminists, and most minority voters, of course.

Yes; these groups (for the most part) benefit from neoliberalism. However I can see some feminists and LGBT activists splitting from them in light of less than liberal mores from some of the immigrants.

Possibly I'm biased as an old fashioned Keynsian but I think very few have actually benefitted from neo-liberalism as it drastically reversed the trend towards a wider spread of equality of wealth and opportunity in favour of greater concentration of wealth and power. There were some short term benefits in the Anglosphere from removing some restrictions, aided in Britain by the arrival of North Sea oil, but in the longer terms as more and more waste and corruption has developed and more power concentrated the general result has been negative for the majority of the population. Its irronic that Trump is presenting himself as the champion of those who have lost out when he had been a major benefactor of the neo-liberal reaction. On the initial question of the future of the Republicans I can see them bouncing back, if only because the Democrats themselves have problems which victory is unlikely to solve. There is a basis for an appeal to the dispirited and those who feel they have lost out but it needs to have genuine concern for them and be open to other factors to prevent it becoming too narrow and negative.

What exactly do you expect from someone who, above all, is an attention whore, though?

Perhaps "benefitting from neoliberalism" was too strong - but their interest groups are politically allied with the Democratic elite.

What exactly do you expect from someone who, above all, is an attention whore, though? A what. Its an expression for someone who will do anything to get and maintain attention. Bad enough when you get Z list 'celebrities' on unreality TV shows, but at least you can avoid them. Potentially very dangerous when their manoeuvring for a position of great power. I think its a good description for Trump given he seems to be an uncontrolled narcissist.
