What if, due to some stroke of luck, Robert de Brus (Robert the Bruce's grandfather) would have become the King of Scotland in 1292 when the Scottish succession dispute would have been resolved in his favor?
Indeed, any thoughts on this?

For one, there would probably be more Scottish resistance to England earlier.
