What if Al Gore would have won the U.S. Presidency in 2000?
Indeed, how would both U.S. domestic policy and U.S. foreign policy have looked like over the last 16 years in this scenario?
Any thoughts on this?

Any thoughts on this? If 9/11 still happens most likely the United States will focus only on Afghanistan, Iraq is never attacked in 2003.

Does President Gore conduct regime change in Afghanistan (just like President Bush did in real life) or does he instead focus on more limited military action which involves launching air strikes against al-Qaeda training camps in Afghanistan and sending U.S. forces to Afghanistan (without the Taliban's consent or permission, obviously) in order to try catching Osama Bin Laden and the other al-Qaeda leaders? 2. How does President Gore deal with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Iran, North Korea, and Libya? 3. Would President Gore be able to push through whatever domestic agenda he desires after 9/11 (if 9/11 still occurs, that is)? 4. Does President Gore get re-elected in 2004? 5. Who is Gore's successor as President and Lieberman's successor as Vice President? Indeed, any thoughts on all of these questions of mine?

You mean keep the Taliban government in power or help the Afghan Northern Alliance win the Afghan Civil War (1996–2001). 2. How does President Gore deal with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Iran, North Korea, and Libya? Same thing as his predecessor Bill Clinton, with talking and trying to bring the two side to the table. 3. Would President Gore be able to push through whatever domestic agenda he desires after 9/11 (if 9/11 still occurs, that is)? He is a democrat, i think he would have a different agenda than a republican would have if he was president. 4. Does President Gore get re-elected in 2004? Depends on how he runs the country in his first 4 years. 5. Who is Gore's successor as President and Lieberman's successor as Vice President? When if he does not mange to get reelected in 2004 or 2008.

Would the Republican-controlled House of Representatives have been willing to support President Gore's initiatives on things such as global warming and creating a "lockbox" for Social Security, though? 4. OK. 5. I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand what you are trying to say here.

5. I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand what you are trying to say here. What i am saying is who could run as his rival in 2004, would it be Bush again or even McCain, also is Lieberman going to run for president himself and is he a person who Americans will vote for.

Probably McCain. 2. In 2008? Yes--if Gore wins re-election in 2004, that is. 3. Frankly, it depends on the specific circumstances.

He's afraid to lose again and thus doesn't run. 2. What about if he manages 9/11 pretty well but the economy still goes into a severe recession in 2008?
