Russia will become a constitutional monarchy, changes? The Tsar end the war... Nazis will still emerge : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_Revolution_of_1918%E2%80%9319(Here you can see the Socialist popularity in Weimar Republic) World War II will be different, Germany will eat all Poland, but Russia will declare war at the same time that the Allies so the war will be shorter(maybe 1943-1944)... Cold War will not happen. I wouldn't be so certain of the Nazis still rising. Communism played a big part in the fears they exploited. Wasn't the Great Depression a larger part of the reason as to why exactly the Nazis came to power in Germany, though? |

It was a factor in why the German people were desperate enough to support the Nazis. However given the different political circumstances, possibly the Great Depression might not occur. Even if it does a Nazi-type party that helps Germany out of it by a version of Keynesian economics will become pretty popular but could well lose that if it starts looking for a war with France, Britain and Russia, all at the same time. If you got a less modernised but large Russian state joining in an attack on Germany if the latter still attacks Poland in Sept 39 then I suspect the war would be over by 1940 or at latest 41. Especially since this Nazi Germany [or earlier German military] are unlikely to have the secret links with Russia that they had OTL with the Soviet Union. Both in terms of training forces illegal under the Versailles treaty and the access to Russian resources. Furthermore if the Russians joined the Poles in the east its likely the French, plus what elements of the BEF were available, would be prompted to attack in the west. It might even be the case of the 'war over by Christmas'  |
