What if the USSR won the Cold War? By winning, I mean them as the sole world superpower, which may involve the US collapsing. How could this be done? What would a world dominated by Russia and communism be like? What would be the alternate course the world takes? What if?

Could the POD not begin with vice president Wallace becoming president instead of Truman.

Maybe with a nuclear war which kills hundreds of millions or even billions of people. Seriously; after all, it's certainly extremely hard to find another way for the Soviet Union to win the Cold War.

Have Stalin die shortly after the end of World War II, of course Beria has to be removed as he would be as bad as Stalin if he was in power and instead have people in charge who can rule the country instead of destroying it.

How about Germany does a little better in 41 and Hitler starts a real assault on Moscow which leads to the virtual destruction of AGC in the winter of 41-42. By late 43 Soviet forces are in Berlin and racing for the Rhine and by the end of the year are attacking Nationalist Spain. The Soviet empire and allies occupy virtually all of developed Euroasia with an exhausted Britain isolated and the US still largely isolationist. Stalin can intervene in China against the Japanese and establish his control over most of China as well. Communism looks to be the coming thing and Britain and the US are increasingly isolated.
I would still be uncertain that the Soviet bloc with its internal problems would actually win but its odds would be significantly greater. Especially if it captured enough German scientists to get a lead in nuclear science over a complacent US and exhausted Britain.

By keeping the US out of WWII, you wouldn't have them collapse; the US would simply be apathetic of the world. In a world like this, the Soviet Union could become the foremost power.

Growing Communist influence worldwide might eventually push the U.S. out of its isolationism in this scenario, though.

There was once a scenario in a TV series call Sliders where the Soviet Union won the Korea War and everything snowballed until the Soviet Union had invaded the United States.

I wrote a timeline on the AH Wikia with a similar premise.

Nice name for a timeline. Thank you; it was inspired by the Soviet seal. Is the cold War still going on after the end of World War III in your timeline as i can see the United States maintain a large presence in the Low countries, or is that not allowed under the Sao Paulo Peace Accords.

It does for a while, until the collapse of the US in 1986.
