The Queen is dead
On February 18, 1560, Mary Queen of Scots would give birth to a daughter named Marie of France, she would name her after herself and her relative, bloody Mary and this would be the start of the Marian Succession claimants in the British Islands and Mary, Queen of Scots would die before she would be able to board a ship to Scotland in 1561, Marie of Guise would petition that she would be a regent for Princess Marie but a protestant revolt in Scotland supported by Queen Elizabeth I on 1561 would prevent Princess Marie from ever reigning in Scotland and the Earl of Arran would be installed while Elizabeth I would choose the descendants of her aunt Mary Rose as her successor in case as she did not marry as Marie is the only descendant of her aunt Margaret, this would have been the beginning of the Marian Succession claims of France over England and theoretically the real end of English claims to French throne and the Angevin and Norman heritage.
Catherine of Medici would betroth Marie of France to the Protestant Henry of Navarre to create an alliance between France and Navarre and for her to be used as a pawn against Elizabeth I while her daughter, Margaret would continue her betrothal with Sebastian I of Portugal.

Sebastian and Margaret of France
On 1568, Sebastian I of Portugal would marry Margaret of France and the Portuguese Empire would have the support of Charles IX against the Spanish.
Sebastian I of Portugal would establish trading rights in Selurong, Borneo, Palawan, and Sulu which are held by the Sultan of Brunei which would prevent the expansion the Spanish in Selurong and the expulsion of the Spanish in the Philippines due to a French-Portuguese assault in Cebu in 1570, expelling the Spanish from the Philippines, later known as Sebastianinhas, a Portuguese colony.
Due to Portugal and France having trading rights in Brunei, they would not touch the Bruneian Empire but they would establish protectorate over the Kingdom of Caboloan in Selurong which is surrounded by Bruneian territory to prevent its conquest by the Muslims and the Portuguese would also establish a protectorate over the Kingdom of Butuan which surrendered to the suzerainty of the Spanish in 1521 as part of its alliance against the Muslims in the Sultanate of Maguindanao and Lanao which would not be supported by Brunei as they are not part of its jurisdiction and they are not their vassals and the Bruneians had pledged not to interfere in Mindanao against the Portuguese.
