The RAF Baynes Bat, a 1/3 scale prototype of a “Carrier Wing Glider”design, intended to be attached to TANKS, allowing them to be towed into battle.. flight tested in 1943, and also for some time after the project was cancelled

Ah if the tank is attached below rather than inside the fuselage then I wonder how it gets off the ground. There's going to be a lot of drag and with tracks rather than wheels getting the damned thing airborne looks a real issue. Even with a fairly light tank.
