The birth of a posthumous son
On Summer of 1125, Dowager Empress Matilda would give birth to a son who she would name as Henry and she would leave him in the lands of his fathers and assigned regents in his lands until he came of age before Matilda left in 1126.
Empress Matilda would marry Geoffrey of Anjou on 1127 as instructed by her father to promote her and her son’s claim to England and her husband would support her in her rule in England and Normandy once she becomes the Queen of England.
Matilda herself would have two sons named Geoffrey(1134) and William(1136), and a daughter named Marie(1133).

Succession Stephen of Blois On December of 1135, Stephen of Blois was proclaimed as the King of England by the English and Norman nobility as King Stephen, what boosted his popularity was that he had already have a son named Eustace and the Empress Dowager Matilda would dispute this and she would be angry at the succession of her rival, she was not able to mount her claim to the throne due to her being pregnant at that time and sent her husband to claim the throne but she is not popular to the nobility Normandy and England and she and her husband would begin a war to claim England, on 1140, Matilda would meet again with her eldest son and he would tell her that he is not interested to claim England for her and they should make a Peace Treaty with King Stephen.
On 1141, Empress Dowager Matilda would give up her claims and sign a marriage treaty where Eustace of Blois would be betrothed to Marie of Anjou, daughter of Dowager Empress Matilda with Maine as her dowry and Marie of Champagne, eldest daughter Theobald IV, Count of Blois and Champagne and Matilda of Carinthia would marry Henry FitzEmpress, the son of Emperor Henry V of HRE and Empress Matilda.
The marriage of Marie of Champagne to Henry FitzEmpress would give Henry a lineal claim to the Kingdom of Arles while Marie of Anjou would give Eustace, Empress Matilda’s claim to England and the county of Maine, disputed between the Angevins and the House of Blois since time immemorial.

A Breton and Aquitainian marriages On 1131, Bertha of Brittany would marry Philip II of France, who is reigning with his father, Louis VI, to strengthen the alliance of France and Brittany, another betrothal was made between Eleanor of Aquitaine, the eldest daughter of the Duke of Aquitaine with Hoel, the son of Conan III, which would settle the borders of Aquitaine and Brittany while her sister, Alix of Aquitaine would be married to Otto II of Burgundy and the brother of Eleanor, William would marry Constance of France, strengthening the relationship of France and the Duchy of Aquitaine.
Bertha of Brittany would give birth to five surviving children, namely, Louis VII(1138), Matilda(1140), Constance(1145), Philip(1148), and Alix(1150).
Note:
The OTL Louis VII would become a monk in this timeline.

So the Plantagenet's give up their claim to England and related areas but seek greater power on the continent. IIRC The King of Arles basically occupied much of eastern OTL France so is going to be a formidable power, along with his inheritance of Anjou - unless that goes to a son of Matilda by Geoffrey? France tightens its claim on Brittany while Aquitaine also gets connections with France. Am I correct in thinking this is the same Elanor who OTL married both the French king and then Henry?

Yes, it is the same Eleanor, but Eleanor of Aquitaine becomes the wife of Hoel III of Brittany and her sister marries the OTL husband of Marie of Champagne, the Plantagenets would be marrying into France, one of the grand daughters of Louis VI will marry Geoffrey VI of Anjou.
