What if the Achaemenid Empire conquered Greece? How long could they hold it and what would be the consequences?
Some potential consequences: - An interesting cross pollination of ideas with Zoroastrianism influencing Greek philosophy and Greek philosophy influencing Persian philosophy in turn - no rise of Macedon. - Greek hoplites would serve in the Persian military - an expansion of trade routes. More trade between Greece and the rest of the Persian Empire. - If the empire survives long term, Rome would face a formidable adversary. -A probable abolition of slavery
Whatifalthist actually made a video about this:
What do you guys think?

Are this his ideas or yours?
Greek-Persian cross-pollination sounds interesting and might mean anything, but is there more to it? Something concrete?
