Not many things change with the show, but there are a couple of things. For instance:
-During the theme sequence, the title card appears in the same place when the theme goes "dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun".
-During the 1st season, Dana Elcar (Pete Thornton, MacGyver's boss) is included in the intro. Also, Bruce McGill (Jack Dalton) and Teri Hatcher (Penny Parker) are series regulars instead of recurring. They also appear in the opening credits.
-The order their names appear in the opening credits: Richard Dean Anderson, Teri Hatcher, Bruce McGill and Dana Elcar. And Elcar receives special billing "And Dana Elcar as Pete Thornton".
-The 7th and final season is not a short 14-episode season. There are 10 more episodes. However, Thornton is only in 5 of them. And he doesn't have a very big part in them. Probably due to his blindness.
On a personal note, "MacGyver" is one of my favorite shows. When it was originally on, I would watch it with my dad.
