If Dolfuss is in power in '38 things may be quite different he's definitely not going to sit on his hands. Considering the events of 1934 he's going to do his best to secure some kind of foreign protection in the event the Germans try again. Likely this means surrendering considerable influence to Italy, which likely means that Italy would intervene in such a situation. It could be that in TTL, Italy might insist that Germany abandon Anschluss as a necessary pre-condition of the formation of the Berlin-Rome Axis.

I wonder if Hitler really want to go to war with Austria or just turns his attention towards getting Czechoslovakia, when the war breaks out, a neutral Austria will will help a little bit, i also see large amount of Austria volunteers going to Germany to fight, maybe a Austria SS division or two can be raised.

I think your assuming too much rationality on Hitler's part, even for the late 30's. Plus making a bid for Austria and failing, even if only politically would be a big loss of face. Furthermore how much dosh did Germany get from Vienna? According to some sources Hitler's Germany was staggering from annexation to annexation until a full war started and threw conventional rules of economics out the window. Also if Austria is still neutral, let alone nervous [at least] of German intentions any attack on Bohemia is markedly more difficult as their southern flank is no longer exposed and the Austrian units and industry aren't available. Plus Germany might even have to consider Italian intervention if things bogged down, either alone or more likely as a part of a joint 'allied' move against Nazi expansionism.

So either way Hitler is screwed, if he does not annex Austria he will be look weak, if he invades Austria he will be looked at as a aggressor, not looking good for him.

That I count as a good result either way. So the fact that one man died in 1934 allowed Hitler to annex Austria and bully another into submission.
