In 1942 ASB grants Japan Yamato and Musashi but equipped as if they were built in 2023.
This includes among other things - modern radars - modern radar guided shells for it's main gun - modern day anti aircraft guns/CIWS - sonar and anti torpedo systfm for anti submarine warfare
Just how much difference do they make in the war? It's enough to say they kick ass. But can they actually win the war?

No. Even if this includes the facilities to provide support for such equipment and hence a limited capacity hence to refit other ships to a more limited degree. The US simply has too much superiority in resources to be defeated once the war had started as it had.

Tried to create here 2023 loadout, do not know if it first, but both Yamato and Musashi would able to punch, until they ran out of ammunition. 32 × SSM-2 Type 17 Surface-to-Ship Missile (range 400 kilometers, comparabale to Tomahawk). 16 × SSM-1B Type 90 Ship-to-Ship Missiles (Japanese version of the Harpoon). 2 × 64-cell, 1 × 32-cell (96 total cells) Mk 41 Vertical Launching System (in place of the 2 × triple 15.5 cm guns): SM-2MR surface-to-air missile. SM-3 anti-ballistic missile. SM-6 surface-to-air missile. Type 07 VL-ASROC. RIM-162 ESSM. 6 × 20 mm Phalanx Block1B CIWS (3 on each side). 4 × 5-inch (127 mm)/62 Mk 45 Mod 4 gun (2 on each side). 3 × triple 46 cm guns

You sure of that? They can take on an entire enemy fleet and win easily

No, they can’t. Even with ultra modern gun and radar suites as outlined in the OP, they will literally run out of AA ammo before the USN runs out of planes. They won’t be fought in a fair way, which is the logical way to deal with superior enemy ships, regardless of magical advantage.

You sure of that? They can take on an entire enemy fleet and win easily Isoroku Yamamoto quote applies here: In the first six to twelve months of a war with the United States and Great Britain I will run wild and win victory upon victory. But then, if the war continues after that, I have no expectation of success.

Rather than merely modernised souped up battleships, the IJN would require 16-20 similarly modernised Super Akizuki class destroyers, 4 Oyodo class light cruisers and 2 Ibuki class heavies and 4 Taihō class aircraft carriers (with improved aircraft) for a task force that could successfully take on the USN Fast Carrier Task Force; even then, it would only be a temporary delay, as the Yanks have a lot of task groups.
