It's January 1st, 2023 and everyone is sleeping after celebrating the beginning of the year as they sleep there are awoken by a weird earthquake that causes power to be temporarily cut off, seeing skies turn slowly from night to day.
They slowly realize that they are no longer in 2023 but in the year 1853, which comes back to the question, What if Modern Okinawa Prefecture was transported back in the year 1853 on July 8?
How would everyone react?
Can Okinawa survive?
How would this event change the future of the world ?

Guess Commodore Perry will be very surprised at being overflown in Tokyo Bay by a 2023 F-15C out of Kadena Air Base.
Both the Japanese and US will be more than astonished by this and subsequently both work on getting the locals and USAF on their side for the wealth of information present in the Prefecture. It will of course leak out to China, Russia, Britain etc.
Problem in Okinawa will be crisis management - essentially secure supply of needed resouces to run their society on a 2023 level while deciding what to trade off to Japan and the USA and possibly others. Look up Okinawa to find out if its able to sustain itself - I expect it not to at least on present levels.
Change the future - a lot.

Change the future - a lot. What about the fuel problem? JP-8 at 2200 liters per sortie is not going to last long.
