Well, we're not going to lie to each other, everyone likes cyberpunk universes (those who don't, we don't ask your opinion anyway, nah!!!), well, more surprisingly, engineers and executives from the French army in the late 80s-mid 90s had a certain fascination for very cyberpunk concepts (we cite the dreadful PAPOP or more "realistic" projects of stealth AMX-30) and the infantryman's pistol was also entitled to its variant in the form of the GIAT ADR (Close Defense Weapon). To tell the truth, the GIAT ADR was a rather amazing weapon: by installing two pistol grips, the GIAT gunsmiths relied on two firing modes each triggered by two triggers (an automatic firing mode, a semi-automatic firing mode) each fed by two magazines of 20 rounds each (ammo would not have been an issue, GIAT would have bet on separate magazines for all 5.56mm ammunition and some 5.7mm and 9x19 Parabellum) for a shot of 300 to 1000 rounds per minute. However, it appears that the French army rejected the GIAT ADR in favor of the FN P90.

Guess it should have been just a piece of junk in the middle of a battlefield...

From a human factors point and shoot ergonomics, you prefer two plane control for 2-d stabilization in the horizontal and vertical. This is why I do not favor a fore-post or double pistol grip. I see the dual ammunition and the double triggers control groups in the same wise. Keep it simple, Susan. When Someone is trying to kill me and I want to suppress him, I want speed, reliability and one trigger pull without having to think about which trigger and effector should I use?
I think the French army thought the same way?
