I think the Draka story should be rewritten because the Draka are overpowered. I was thinking which power will defeat the Draka and thought a more powerful Allies would do the job. So I had the POD during the Spanish Civil War where the Soviets abandon the Republicans and the Nationalists win the war. This way, Germany would not abandon Italy to the Draka.
The Draka join on the side of the Allies, and invade Italy and also Spain. Germany aids their Axis allies. The Soviets through their NKVD convinced the American public to let Roosevelt run again (in the original Draka series, Roosevelt does not run and is replaced by Wendell Willkie).
Japan does not attack the Soviet Union (as in the original Draka novels).
The Germans still succeed in Moscow but were repulsed back by Molotov (instead of Semyon Timoshenko in the original Draka novels). He is able to keep the Soviets in order and secure American aid. Molotov also convinced Roosevelt not to trust the Draka as they will enslave Europe later on. Despite Soviet help to Tito, they were unable to stop both the Nazis and the Draka.
Hitler and co. gets assasinated as in OTL. Pan-Europe emerges as in OTL, but unlike in the Draka timeline, they managed to purge the more nastier Nazi elements. Because of this, it was more acceptable to Roosevelt and co. and decided a ceasefire would be enacted, to concentrate against both Japan and Draka. The Soviets gain a ceasefire with the new Pan-Europe movement.
The final straw for Roosevelt and Churchill against the Draka is the occupation of Portugal and Greece by the Draka, allegedly for sheltering Spanish Nationalist forces in the former and for the latter, to secure the flank in Draka-controlled Bulgaria. For Churchill, this is a disrespect to the Anglo-Portuguse Alliance. For Roosevelt, as Greece is in the Allied camp and can't tolerate the "homeland of democracy" be occupied by a slaver regime and a mockery of Greek ideals.
With the Manhattan Project ready and earlier in TL, the Americans used it first at Truk against the bulk of IJN fleet there. Unlike in the original Draka timeline, Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto was horrified by the results and obviously escaped from the nuclear blast in time, and decided to have a coup against Tojo. While he succeeds in overthrowing the government with the Emperor's help, those IJA forces in China broke away from the central government and installed Chichibu, the Japanese appointed governor of Japanese Manchuria as their own Emperor. Those Japanese troops in SEA remained loyal to the new government. Japan is now under civil war, and the Draka may exploit it soon, had they did not suffer nuclear bombings.
First, it was the Soviet Union. In this timeline, the Americans are somewhat more willing to allow Soviet spies leeway to Manhattan Project because of a the Draka threat. As a result, the Soviets were able to produce RDS-1 bombs earlier and drop it in Draka-held Central Asian and Chinese cities and army positions. Draka then declared war against the Soviet Union and their American and British allies, giving the latter two their carte blanche to nuke the Draka homeland. With minimal resources and almost chased by Draka destroyers, the Americans and the British nuked Archona, Cape Town, and other core Draka cities. Meanwhile, Pan-Europe dropped their own bomb against Draka forces in Spain, Italy, and later Nova Cartago (Tunis) and Alexandria in Egypt. The Drakas were forced to retreat to positions in the Middle East. Meanwhile, Allied Forces landed on the beachheads in Madagascar and installed a puppet Draka government under Eric von Shrakenburg in Madagascar; renouncing serfdom forever, this government has loyal Citizens and ex-serfs and now citizens fighting against Gaynor's loyalists in Africa. Many Draka Citizen and Janissary troops established their own warlord states, denouncing both Shrakenberg and Gaynor as traitors. In Drakian China, an anti-Draka revolt exploded, and exploited by Mainland Japanese forces.
While the Gaynorites managed to stablized themselves in the Middle East, calling themselves as Outremer-Draka, retaining the old Draka system, the Draka of Madagascar became a flawed democracy under Shrakenberg; Gaynor denounced the Madagascarians as traitors and regressed into serf-level.
By 1962, the Eurasian War may be over, but a new one could brew soon. Pan-Europe is a semi-fascist government, having reached a ceasefire against Outremer. The Soviets now control Central Asia and Western China, waiting for world revolution. the Japanese sphere has rebuilt and reformed, forming new puppet states; the pretenders were defeated, replaced by Japanese-appointed native rulers of Manshukoku, Chosen, and Taiheikoku. Outremer is licking its wounds, knowing the new Alliance for Democracy, including the Americans, the British, the Brazilians, and the Island Drakans are weak.
As though the war never truly ended.
