Canada in 1995 saw the Ipperwash Crisis as well as another referendum on Quebec independence which was defeated. Jean Chrétien was Prime Minister. The North American Free trade Agreement had recently come into force (1994). the country was coming out of a recession during both periods. The X Files and Forever Knight were both being filmed in Canada (with the latter being one of the few shows at the time to actually acknowledge being set in Canada.) Alanis Morrissette was taking over the rock charts. Since there haven't been that many Canadian ISOTs that I'm aware of, what happens if this one takes place? For the reverse: Canada during World War One

Well they find themselves pretty much in a world war. Both because their down-side country was and because Germany will be carrying out attacks on their trade and the like. If they decide to throw themselves fully into the fight their forces may be limited in size and possibly in stamina due to problems with spares and components probably not produced in Canada but their very powerful.
Alternatively they might well seek to stop what they see as the insanity pf the conflict. Which I think will be their preferred idea at 1st. One big problem is that culturally their way different from just about anyone else. Even the UK, France and the US have sharply restricted franchises and massively different values compared to 1994 Canada. [Markedly more racist, no votes for women, homophobic, imperialist etc.] Also I suspect few if any of the nations, other than possibly the UK, would be willing to accept a compromise peace - say a return to pre-war borders which is about the only thing they could suggest that isn't going to be immediately rejected by most/all the combatants.
If the ISOT occurs at 1-1-1915 then one issue might be seeking to prevent the Armenian genocide which is just about to start. [Sorry Lordroel we're now banned in Turkey. ] This is something that is rather time dependent so would provide pressure to act quickly. Similarly they could well associate with the allied operations in the Gallipoli campaign and how they could affect that in any number of ways. There are plenty of other disasters latter on, military, economic, social etc that they would probably want to avoid although whether they would accept Imperial Russia as an alternative to the Soviets and how happy they would be with surviving autocracies in Germany, the Hapsburg empire and the Ottoman one under the Young Turks dictatorship.
There are no easy choices here and that's just with the current crisis of WWI. Sort that out in one way or another and then there's how they respond to the rest of the 1915 world.
