The Tapeing Rebellion is a bloody if not very bloody episode in Chinese history that is remembered poorly throughout the war. This discussion hopes to bring reference to a forgotten period of Chinese history to light 💡 and the possibility of what ifs of this Chinese civil war.
So how could the rebellion have been shortened or ended quicker than in actual history? I am asking this because I would like it to affect my civil war history where a late number of Chinese exit out of the Chinese empire and immigrated to America during the American civil war with some of them becoming mercenaries

Like so much else in a "false analogy" model, there is a hidden truth. Just as today, in the 19th century there was political class schisms and economic interests that drove the conflicts inside mainland China. You should take the constant failures, of the Confucian gatekeeper examinations and the corruption by the NORTH Chinese Manchu Mandarin of the south Chinese Han whackjob, who reinvented himself as Jesus Christ Junior, as an indication of just how resentful the south mainlander Chinese were and ARE of the north mainlander Chinese. You think that the racism and culturalism that exploded into the American Civil War was bad? Try mixing in a religious movement that eerily mimics in kind if not exact beliefs the 7th Century Moslem POLITICAL eruption with the craziness of the Confederate slavocracy to usurpt constituted and legitimate government. We murdered ourselves to the tune of 750,000 or 4% of every American alive in 1860. The Chinese murdered 20,000,000 of their mostly southern themselves; or about 4.6% in 1860 when the Qing finally put the local 3 province regional rebellion down. You could say that it was a formative and frightening lesson for each subsequent mainlander Chinese government as to how fragile "China" as a concept is.

OK well first of all I’m not drawing parallels to the confederacy and the Chinese whether they be in the north or south. You do not have to aid me in my alternative history because i’m trying to find ways there could be pods for China for some of these southern Chinese refugees /immigrants to pick each other sides during the American civil war. That man was crazy for him to say that he was the Jesus Christ incarcerate and 19th-century racism is what it is

Chinese refugees /immigrants to pick each other sides during the American civil war. 1. You do not need a Taipeng POD to encourage Chinese emigration to America. You need an American POD to ALLOW Chinese emigration to America. HINT: I am writing one right now. 2. That man was crazy for him to say that he was the Jesus Christ incarcerate 3. The word is "incarnate" which means an idea incorporated in a person or physical being. "Incarcerate" is to put someone into a jail cell; which is what should have happened to Hong Xiuquan. 4. 19th-century racism is what it is It is still with us.

Alright. Well, the rebellion ended in 1864 I would like it to end in 1861 or at least pewtering out enough for many of the Chinese people to immigrate to America during that period of time.

In what ways could this taiping rebellion have been squashed earlier? This question goes for any moment in time.

In what ways could this taiping rebellion have been squashed earlier? This question goes for any moment in time. 9 Months, you know the rule, this is a question, i consider that as a bump, do not do that anymore in the future:
Rule VII: It is okay to respond to old threads that are 90 days old, but be aware that threads older than 180 days (labeled as Very Old threads) and 365 days (labelled as Extreme Old thread) might raise the mod attention if there is no substantial new contribution made in that thread, such as to extend a timeline, otherwise make a new thread under the same name but add a "II" or next available Roman Numeral to the thread title ore PM a mod if it is okay to post in it.

However I thought it was all right to contribute to this old post if it was the owners. On a different note I see a lot of content on YouTube for if the rebellion succeeded.

As I forgot to close this thread, I close it, you can make a new thread with a link to this on if you want to.
Thread closed.
